WHAT THIS IS. Every agricultural produce market yard — mandi — in this district that appears in AGMARKNET's market directory, the register the Directorate of Marketing & Inspection maintains for the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. Each entry carries the directory's own market id, which is the only identifier the source guarantees and the thing to quote when checking one of these pages. WHAT THIS IS NOT. It is not the roll of Rajasthan's Krishi Upaj Mandi Samitis. That roll belongs to the Rajasthan State Agricultural Marketing Board, whose site does not resolve and whose successor department host does not either, checked 2026-08-02. AGMARKNET lists 179 Rajasthan markets; the state's own count of principal and sub-market yards is different and larger. A market's absence from these lists means the ministry's directory does not carry it, and nothing more. THE NAMES ARE THE DIRECTORY'S. "Ajmer (Grain) APMC" and "Ajmer(F&V) APMC" are two separate yards in the directory and are two entries here. The "(Grain)" and "(F&V)" tags are part of the names the directory assigns, not a classification this site applied. THERE IS NO COMMODITY LIST, AND THAT IS A SOURCING LIMIT RATHER THAN A CHOICE. A cut of these markets by the produce each principally trades would be the most useful slice of this data, and the directory does not carry one: it gives a market's name, its district and its state. Building the cut by matching the words "Grain" or "F&V" inside a name would be filtering a register by name and then titling the result as though it were a survey of what Rajasthan's mandis trade — the exact mistake that once put an archaeology register on this site under the title "Temples of Rajasthan". ORDER. Alphabetical within the district. Not by arrivals, turnover, area or age; the directory publishes none of those, and the daily price series that shares this host is reported by the market committees rather than measured by the directorate, so it could not back a ranking either. A LIST OF ONE ENTRY IS NOT A LIST. A district with fewer than 2 markets in the directory gets no list. Eight districts fell below that line and their markets are not published: Balotra (Balotra APMC); Banswara (Banswara APMC); Dholpur (Dholpur APMC); Dungarpur (Dungarpur APMC); Karauli (Hindoun APMC); Phalodi (Phalodi APMC); Rajsamand (Rajsamand APMC); Sirohi (Abu Road APMC). WHICH MAP THIS IS DRAWN ON. The districts in force after the 2023 reorganisation, which is the map the directory uses — it carries Balotra, Beawar, Deeg, Phalodi, Khairthal Tijara and Kotputli-Behror as districts. Spelling is reconciled to this site's district names; boundaries are not reconciled with the pre-2023 registers elsewhere on this site. SOURCE AND ITS STANDARD. The ministry's own directory, read from the endpoint that serves it, rather than a transcription of it. The citation on each entry is that market's directory record verbatim, as the directory returns it — the record is the evidence for "this market is in this district", and a general sentence about AGMARKNET would not be.
