Before you pay a booking site
In August 2026 Gujarat Police's cyber unit reported a fraud that reached 21,985 people through more than 126 websites imitating dharamshalas, ashrams, trusts and hotels at pilgrimage towns including Haridwar, taking advance payments for rooms that were never provided.

None of the temple-trust websites that appear in search results is linked from a government page, so this record cannot say which, if any, is the trust’s own. Where the only way to reach a dharamshala is a site you found by searching, pay nothing in advance until you have confirmed it with the dharamshala or the temple in person or by a number the temple itself publishes.

No official source this record could find names a dharamshala at Salasar. A district press release of 25 May 2026 records the launch of a website built for the temple, but gives no address for it, and at least four websites each present themselves as the temple's official one.
