WHAT THIS IS. Every medical college in the district on the National Medical Commission's state-wise list of MBBS medical colleges functioning in the country, revised as on 31 March 2025. Complete as against its source: no cut-off, no editorial judgement about what belongs. WHAT THE ORDER MEANS. Annual intake — the number of MBBS seats the Commission sanctions a college each year — largest first. That figure is the Commission's own, read from its own column, headed "Annual Intake (Seats)". It is a sanctioned capacity, not an enrolment, not an application count, and not a measure of teaching, of the attached hospital, of research or of results. Colleges sharing a figure are ordered alphabetically and nothing should be read into which of them appears first. WHY THERE ARE ONLY 6 OF THESE LISTS. A list of one entry is not a list, so a district holding a single medical college gets no page of its own — 23 districts of Rajasthan are in that position. Nothing is lost by it: every one of those colleges is on "The Medical Colleges of Rajasthan", which is the complete register, and on the government or trust-and-private list its management puts it on. The threshold is 2 entries and it is stated here rather than left for a reader to infer from a thin page. WHICH DISTRICT A COLLEGE IS ON. The district the Commission itself records, never one inferred from the college's name or address. Three of the Commission's Rajasthan district values — Sitapur, Jagatpura and Bedwas — are localities rather than districts, and those three colleges therefore appear on no district list at all. SOURCE AND ITS STANDARD. The National Medical Commission is the statutory regulator of medical education in India, and this is its own published register rather than anybody's account of it. It clears this site's original sourcing standard — the state's own record — not merely the relaxed one, so nothing on these pages is marked as resting on an aggregated source. WHAT IS ASSERTED PER ENTRY. The college's name as the Commission prints it, the district the Commission records, the year of inception, and the sanctioned annual intake. Nothing about its hospital, its faculty, its admission cut-offs, its results or its address is claimed, because the source does not support one, and nothing at all is recorded about any person who works there. FIVE ENTRIES CARRY AN ASTERISK. The Commission prints one against five of its Rajasthan rows and publishes no legend for it anywhere in the document. Each of those pages says so, unexplained. Dropping the rows would have asserted that the mark means withdrawal; explaining it would have asserted that we know what it means.
