One method, shared by every one of the 27 lists below.
WHAT THIS IS. The railway stations in the district for which a published article records a station code and states the district. It is NOT every station in the district, and the difference is large enough that it has to be said first: Rajasthan has roughly six hundred railway stations, and 240 of them are documented in the source this list rests on. WHY THERE IS NO OFFICIAL LIST, WHICH IS THE REAL ANSWER TO "WHY IS THIS INCOMPLETE". Indian Railways organises itself by zone and division, not by district, and publishes no station list carrying a district at all. North Western Railway's own site offers four divisional system maps, which are route diagrams with no attributes. Rail Drishti's per-station passenger-amenity pages, which the articles themselves cite, now return 404. The Railway Board's station-categorisation circular is reachable only through a zonal mirror whose certificate has expired. Searched 2026-08-02; if a district-attributed register appears, this list changes source. WHAT IS MISSING AND WHY, because a district list without its junction looks broken. 33 of the 240 documented stations never name a district in their article — an article about a village halt says "a railway station in Pali district", an article about a major junction gives a city address. Their district could have been read off the article's category instead. It deliberately was not: a category is a filing decision by an editor with no sentence behind it, and this site does not publish a claim whose citation does not support it. Those stations are published and appear on their DIVISIONAL list, which is complete against the same source. ORDER. Alphabetical. Stations are not ranked here by size, traffic or category — no reachable source publishes any of those per station, and the station category (NSG, SG, HG) is deliberately not asserted at all rather than guessed. WHAT EACH ENTRY CARRIES. The station code — the railway's own key, and the only identifier that survives a station being renamed — the division and zone that operate it, and the number of platforms where the article records one. Where the article records a station as out of service, that is shown in the source's own words rather than the station being quietly dropped. A LIST OF ONE ENTRY IS NOT A LIST. A district with a single documented station does not get a page; its station is published and sits on its divisional list. SOURCE AND ITS STANDARD. Transcribed from published articles, one per station, each cited individually with the sentence that states the district. Under this site's sourcing standard (amendment 2, 2026-07-31) an aggregated source may back a published claim; every claim resting only on one is marked "aggregated source" on the page.
