RIICO Industrial Areas

WHAT THIS IS. The industrial areas in this district that the Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation lists in the schedule to its Direct Allotment Policy 2025 — the areas in which RIICO was offering industrial and logistics plots at reserve price under that policy. Every entry carries the RIICO unit office that administers it and the corporation's own serial number in that schedule. WHAT THIS IS NOT, AND THE GAP IS LARGE. It is not the register of RIICO's industrial areas. RIICO's own profile states that it has developed roughly 390 industrial areas across the state; this register holds 105, because 105 is how many the corporation publishes with a district attached to each. RIICO's Land Availability index enumerates 446 areas, but groups them by unit office rather than by district, and a unit office routinely administers areas in several districts — the Bhilwara unit covers areas in Chittorgarh and Pratapgarh. Turning a unit office into a district would be this publication's inference published under RIICO's name, so it is not done. An industrial area's absence from these lists says nothing about it. IT IS ALSO NOT A LIST OF WHERE INDUSTRY IS. A district's entry count is a fact about one policy schedule, not a measure of how industrialised the district is. ORDER. Alphabetical, and it carries no judgement. It is not by size, investment, employment or age: RIICO publishes no area, no plot count and no investment figure against these 105, so there is nothing here that could honestly be ranked. The one RIICO figure that does exist — a land area in hectares, for five *proposed* areas — is ranked on its own separate list, which says on its face that it is about proposed areas and not about the largest. PHASES ARE SEPARATE ENTRIES. RIICO gives each phase of an industrial area its own numbered row, separately notified and separately allottable, so "Rawal Mandi I" and "Rawal Mandi II" are two entries here and not one. Merging them would be this site deciding that two rows of the register it cites are one thing. A LIST OF ONE ENTRY IS NOT A LIST. A district with fewer than 2 areas in the schedule gets no list. Six districts fell below that line and their areas are not published: Baran (Guwadi & Majhari); Dungarpur (Rama Aspur); Jalor (Bithan Phase I); Jhalawar (Umaria); Jhunjhunu (Malsisar); Pratapgarh (Pratapgarh (extension)). WHICH MAP THIS IS DRAWN ON. The districts in force after the 2023 reorganisation, which is the map RIICO's schedule uses — it names Balotra, Phalodi, Khairtal-Tijara and Didwana Kuchaman as districts in their own right. Spelling is reconciled to this site's district names; boundaries are not reconciled with the two monument registers, which predate the reorganisation and say so on their own pages. SOURCE AND ITS STANDARD. The corporation's own policy document, on the corporation's own domain — the state publishing its own schedule, which is the highest sourcing tier this project recognises. The citation on each entry quotes that entry's row under the table's own column headings, because no sentence in the document says where any one area is; the fact lives in a table cell, and that cell is what a reader should be sent to.
